Cross-country skiing
At the end of January, Val di Fassa is the protagonist of the famous Marcialonga, the Nordic skiing competition that sees athletes travel more than 70km. Departing from Moena, it proceeds towards Canazei, where, after the turning point, they cross the Val di Fiemma to cross the finish line in Cavalese. If you are also an enthusiast of this sport, you can sample the competition route, from Soraga. If you are a beginner, visit the cross-country skiing circuits in the valley and allow yourself to be guided by experts who will show you the secrets of this discipline.
Freeride and off-piste
Freshly-fallen snow, breath-taking descents in corners of the Dolomites that are far from chaos. Skiing schools organise off-piste excursions where you can enjoy this sport in safety. Among the favourite excursions there is the Freeride in Val Lastìes or in Val Mezdì, both in Passo Pordoi. The indisputable protagonist in the Queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada, where it is possible to do freeriding on the glacier.
